Reformed Theology Rescources

I know most of the members of the book club come from reformed churches of different denominations.

For the benefit of other members who are currently looking into reformed theology, it would be great if you could recommend books that you found particularly useful, when you where learning about the 'Doctrines of Grace', or struggling to work out what you believed.

I have recently recommended to a friend R C Sprowl's, 'Heart of Reformed Theology', as I had found it useful, however it does assume a level of knowledge of Christian terms, that is not common to those from Pentacostal or Charismatic backgrounds, and I'm hoping for some recommendations that may be simpler, or at least explain things in a way that is easy to understand.

Business Mums Network

In recent discussions with some of you we have been talking about working from home and I have mentioned the Business Mums Network.

I thought that I'd briefly tell you all about it. I've been a silver member of the business mums network now for about a year, and I've found it very helpful. It is an excellent resource, for business ideas and support on how to start and run your own business.

I've particularly enjoyed the Message Board where I've met a lot of the other mums, and found some lovely mums who sell all sorts of products. I even did some of my christmas shopping online, through different stores owned by mums from the network. It was very helpful whilst I was putting together the monthly planner this year, as I learned from other business mums what the copyright laws required, and they gave me links to ther relevant sites to help me find out exactly what I needed to do.

If your considering finding avenues to work from home, I highly recommend a visit to www.businessmums.com

A Faithful Woman Monthly Planners 2007

The 'A Faithful Woman Monthly Planner 2007' was inspired by the ladies in our book club, and has been designed with busy christian women in mind. The format of the planner has been influenced by our reading of Elizabeth Georges books.

You can personalise your planner with your own photograph or design your own hand crafted fabric cover and it is available hole punched for a ring binder or spiral bound.

The planner is tab divided into 4 sections:

  • Monthly Planner, including week to a page, month to page, meal planner for each month, and a schedule planner.

  • Quiet Times; monthly quiet times journal.

  • Things to remember; a space to write down special things to remember, includes inspiring and encouraging quotes.

  • Book Club; reading record and book club notes.

  • I would like to say a special thankyou to all the book club girls for their support and suggestions for the planner.

I have already had enquires from people interested in a copy of the planner, so I have decided to offer another print run in January. If you know anyone who would like a planner, or you missed out on this print run, please comment on this post or send an email to afaithfulwoman@splitpantsproductions.com.au to receive an information sheet and order form. Orders close 19th January.

For those who orderd by 15th of November, the planners are now ready and will be delivered by Friday the 15th of December.
